We made it to the Pentlands yesterday. The Pentland Hills are hills south of Edinburgh. They do not exceed 600m but are a great place to walk (if it does not rain and it’s not too muddy). It was a sort of a “group outing” of the population dynamics group (Rosalind Allen, Martin Evans, Richard Blythe, Simon Titmuss, and I)
It was the first outing we did in this combination but hopefully not the last. There was a pervasive feeling that we should socialize more – something that does not seem to be an obvious thing to do if you are a physicist.
